Fancy Food Show + Sofi Awards

We spent 3 crazy days last week at the Summer Fancy Food Show in NYC. A total of 2,400 exhibitors were there with us at the Javits Center, showing off the hottest specialty food products. There was everything from cheese and yogurt, to pasta and olive oil to specialty beverages and health foods. Rows upon rows of unique, innovative and delicious foods. Needless to say, we sampled A LOT. We had an awesome time at the Purely booth, handing out samples of our fresh baked Chocolate Chip and Oatmeal Cherry Chocolate Chip Cookies, along with all four flavors of our Ancient Grain Granola.

Monday night, we were lucky enough to be invited to the sofi Awards, a gala red-carpet awards ceremony where the finest specialty food products receive awards in an Oscars night fashion. We were honored to have been chosen in two categories, our Cranberry Pecan Ancient Grain Granola for the Diet and Lifestyle Product category and our Original Ancient Grain Granola for the Baked Good, Baking Ingredient or Cereal category.

A panel of food industry specialists tasted 2,573 products and chose their top picks based on taste, quality, innovation, ingredients, merchandisability and best in its class. The awards were presented by Marcus Samuellson, famous chef, award-winning author and owner of Red Rooster in Harlem. Although we didn’t win the gold, we are so proud of our products and of our team for making it so far! Just being in the midst of such incredible food companies and the inspirational Marcus Samuellson was award enough. Plus, there’s always next year : )

Here are some of our fun photos from the show:
