TWO prizes in one today! Meow Meow Tweet and Yellow Owl Workshop are both teaming up on day 8’s giveaway. Meow Meow Tweet is a small batch natural apothecary based in Brooklyn, NY that hand mixes products ranging from candles, to lip balms, soaps and body tonics. They craft their products to produce the perfect aroma and healthful benefits, resulting in uniquely therapeutic and aromatic products. They graciously donated for our gift box a Cedar Fir Soy Wax Candle, Tangerine Lime lip balm, Deodorant Cream with Tea Tree and Beer Soap Bar.
And for the other half of the giveaway.. We have Yellow Owl Workshop, a sophisticated yet playful company that creates greeting cards, recipe cards, rubber stamps, stamp ink pads and books! Meet Tara and Jeff of Meow Meow Tweet:
What’s on your holiday wish list? Some quality time with our family and with one another. Otherwise, maybe a Vitamix?
What are your favorite holiday foods? We love anything with root vegetables, green bean casserole, spiced cake and mulled cider. The usual culprits of holiday fare but done vegan!
What are you most looking forward to in 2014? We’re planning a Spring trip out West with a car, a tent and some hiking boots to Yosemite, Yellowstone and the Spiral Jetty.
How can people find + connect with you?
Meet Christine’s at Yellow Owl Workshop:
What’s on your holiday wish list? Because I know my husband will read this: sleeping in and dog walks. Really I am hoping for more free time to enjoy my life and reconnect: to allow myself more time to take a breath, make pillow forts with my kid and jot a quick note to somebody I love. I am grateful that I am not cold or hungry and have a home. My most sincere wish would that everybody would share this. So that’s it…just sleep, happiness and health for all mankind. Doable… right?!
What are your favorite holiday foods? Nostalgic choice would be my mom’s gooey pecan rolls on Christmas morning- best enjoyed in footy pj’s at noon. My husband is Jewish so I also make a mean potato latke in a paltry (yet so delicious!) attempt to offset the 6 foot Christmas tree I have installed in the living room. I also make small batches of cranberry sauce throughout the holidays for that tart kiss with my morning bowl of oatmeal, granola and yogurt.
What are you most looking forward to in 2014? I am looking forward to living with a 2 year old. NOT a joke! I guess it’s nature’s justice that the funny vocabulary explosion eases the blow of temper tantrums.
